Quimi, founder
Empordà Properties is your estate agency in the Baix Empordà. The owner, Quimi Matés, has more than 20 years’ experience in the business and will guide you through selling or buying your property on the Costa Brava.
The agency started out as a family business in which mother and son pool their knowledge to give you the best possible advice in finding a property or a buyer, from the very beginning to the signing before the notary, with an excellent, personal after-sales service.
Quimi has looked after buyers from all over the world, which has given her the background and experience to understand exactly what each client needs. Alongside her, David Alarcón provides legal support, so that every aspect of the transaction is fully covered.

Buy
We help you choose an area, rule out what doesn’t fit and are with you at every viewing, for the offer and at the notary.
Sell
We visit your house, suggest a reasoned price based on real comparables and take care of the photographs, the marketing, the viewings and the negotiation.
Value
Answer six questions in our calculator and an agent will review the details. If you like, we’ll visit the house to fine-tune the valuation.

One office in Palafrugell, the whole region
Our office is at Carrer Cavallers, 46, in the centre of Palafrugell, two minutes from Plaça Nova. From here we cover the whole of the Baix Empordà: the coast, from L’Estartit to Sant Feliu de Guíxols, and the inland villages, from Pals and Peratallada to La Bisbal and Monells.

Do you speak other languages?
Yes. We work in Spanish, Catalan, English and French, and we provide translations of the purchase documents when needed.
Do you work with other agencies?
Yes, we share sales with agencies we trust when that helps to sell sooner or to find the house you’re looking for. You always deal with just one person from our agency.
What are your fees?
We charge 5% + VAT of the sale price, and only if the sale goes through.
